We are in Auckland for two full days and the weather is clear and beautiful – perfect for a long walk up the hills from the port to the charming suburb of Parnell.

We had heard of the pretty churches and boutique shops – absolutely needed to check them out. This is the Catholic church of St. John.

Colonial buildings have been restored and protected and new owners have put their stamp on them.
